Florida Panther Festival
November 10, 2012
Learn about the Florida panther, one of the world's most endangered mammals and the state land animal for Florida, which has its primary habitat right here in Southwest Florida. Enjoy fun and interesting educational activities, learn about living in close proximity to predators for protection of pets and livestock at the Living With Wildlife Pavilion, experience a nature hike on the park's boardwalk with rangers and biologists with interactive stops to learn about panthers and their world, along with great food and music. Pre-festival field trips will be available to explore panther habitat in the wild on the day before (various fees apply to field trips).
